Q. Do you find that residents ever go back home?
A. Yes, many rehabilitate here and go back home or to an assisted living facility.

Q. Will my mother have choices about her care?
A. Absolutely! In addition to our customer friendly approach, our facility is going through a “culture change” which not only deals with the physical beauty but also our systems to be more customer friendly. These changes deal with such things as meal and bath time preferences as well as others .

Q. Can I have a tour of MSLCC?
A. Yes, we invite anyone to come and see our updated decors, and meet our friendly staff and happy residents.

Q. How do we pay for the nursing care facility bill?
A. Residents here pay with private funds, long term care insurance, Medicare and Medicaid. Our Resident Account personnel are available to assist residents and their families regarding the resident’s billing for the nursing services provided. They will answer questions regarding charges incurred, payments made, and amounts due. They will also provide information on how Medicare and Medicaid benefits apply during the resident’s stay as well as filing of Medicare supplemental and long-term care insurance claims on behalf of the resident. Our staff is available Monday thru Friday during the hours of 8:00 AM thru 4:30 PM.

Q. My parent is in the hospital now and may need to go to the nursing home. What is the process for this?
A. The social services department at the hospital has discharge planners who will work with you and will contact us. Much of the paperwork is handled through the discharge planner.
